I’m feeling very inspired by shades purple and lilac at the moment – possibly due to receiving some lovely gifts recently in this palette. The little sketch has been pinned to my pinboard for ages and was crying out for some splodges of purple watercolour.
I’ve always loved this time of year, even though it signals the end of summer. I used to love getting ready for a new term and getting my new school uniform and stationery supplies. If I still had to stock up, I’d go for these old skool items from Present&Correct.
Summer and the Olympics has arrived in London. I hadn’t realised the Olympic torch was due to come past our flat and an even better surprise was that Rupert Grint was carrying it. Let’s get lots of medals now Team GB!
It’s cold and rainy and hard to believe I was here last week. Great food, great beaches, great company. Lots of yoga, cycling and swimming in the sea. Cafe con leche and pan con tomate for breakfast and yummy seafood for dinner. I can’t wait to go back!
I rediscovered these tiny illustrated cards that used to belong to my Grandad the other day. They’re so cute! I’d love to know who they’re by. All it says on the back is they’re from Canada. They look really 60s to me. If you know who the artist is, please let me know using the comments. Thanks!
Something different to get into the jubilee spirit: this bear trap bangle from Seb Brown that has quite a crown-like quality.
This looks way beyond my sewing skills but I’d still love to have a go at these great patterns from Hisako Sato’s pattern book Drape Drape. Available in English from Laurence King Publishing.
